from October 2003, no chemical products containing NEW
chemical substance inside is allowed to market in Mainland
China, unless it is registered in China – a
pre-marketing / pre-manufacturing principle.
New chemicals refer to these chemicals that are not listed
in IECSC i.e. Inventory of Existing Chemical Substance of
China.
New Chemical Registration/notification
refers to a set of documents (including nature properties of these
new chemical substances, their estimated adverse effects to
environment, to human, etc.) is sent to CRC-MEP (China Registration
Center of Ministry of Environmental Protection of China) for
evaluation and approval.
Special requirement on ecotoxic data
is that some must be tested inside China with Chinese test organism
by certified labs.
