To register a New Chemical Substance to China IECSC, the following data should normally be provided,
Physi-chemical properties
Gas: oxidability, self-ignition temperature (℃), flammability, explosive limit and critical point;
Liquid: boiling point (℃), density (kg/m3), vapor pressure (kPa,℃), n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Log Pow), water solubility (g/L), pH value, surface tension (N/m), flash point (℃), oxidability, self-ignition temperature (℃), flammability and explosibility;
Solid: melting point (℃), density (kg/m3), n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Log Pow), water solubility (g/L), particle size (μm), oxidability, self-ignition temperature (℃), flammability and explosibility.
Toxicity properties
Acute toxicity (nclude acute oral toxicity, acute dermal toxicity, acute inhalation toxicity, skin
irritation, eye irritation and skin sensitization), 28-day repeated dose toxicity, mutagenicity, and 90-day repeated dose toxicity as well as reproductive/developmental toxicity based on registration quantity and property of the NCS.
Ecotoxicology properties
Algal growth inhibition toxicity, daphnia acute toxicity, fish acute toxicity, activated sludge respiration inhibition toxicity, adsorption/desorption, degradability and sometimes earthworm acute toxicity test should normally be provided.
Data requirement could vary a lot, based on the notification type, notification quantity, actual properties of the NCS.
